Country Oven began in 1993, envisioned by Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani as a bake shop with a lip-smacking range of baked goodies. Over the years it added fast food that is nutritious and wholesome, and multi-cuisine delicacies — an eclectic eatery catering to all taste buds.
In 1998 it launched countryoven.com, when the internet in India was in its nascent stage — among the first of its kind anywhere, offering online ordering of cakes and flowers so that Indians abroad could send something home.
From Hyderabad it reached Vizag, Vijayawada, the southern states, then the rest of India, and then these shores. The two New Jersey kitchens are the near end of that line.
